Online Privacy

The threat of online privacy is growing everyday. I'm constantly broadcasting myself publically on facebook or any social network. My pictures of what I do, who i hang out with, and places where I go, are all on the internet. Somebody could simply look at my facebook and tell who i am and what kind of person I represent. I even had my address of where I live and my phone number on Facebook at one point, that's kind of scary to me. These days it's easy to find people and locate them, but does the whole world need to know everything about me. I realize that this is the age of information, but too much will result in huge online privacy problems and could result in destroying the web and net neutrality. There are ways to block others from gaining knowledge about you, but people always find a way around it with the internet being such a large place to do things. Not only is scary for others to view your information on Facebook, but it can become a problem when trying to get a job. Your employers can look at those pictures of you drunk at a party. this could result in you not getting the job or embarrasing yourself publicly.Online privacy is an ongoing problem and will result in major problems if something is not done soon.

A War We Can't seem to Win?

Cyberwarfare is the use of computer and Internet to conduct war in cyberspace. We created the internet making it available with very few limitations, and it seems that it could be very easy for someone or an organization to attack through Cyberwarfare. We are not winning this war, we are losing it as we speak. This isn't just any kind of battle, it's a battle where we don't even know who were up against. When dealing with the internet it's hard to find the main source of a threat or attack. Our national security has to find a way to stop these harmful threats before it's to late. We created the internet, so let's make sure it dosent destroy us. Many over our militaries weapons and secrets are run by an online source. If countries or terrorist found a way to decode our nations secrets and gained part of our military acess we are looking at a much greater problem than the word War.
